Respiratory Diseases

Prevalence of respiratory diseases has increased dramatically since the advent of industrialization. Respiratory disease ranges from mild and self-limiting such as the common cold to life-threatening such as bacterial pneumonia or pulmonary embolism. Respiratory diseases impose tremendous health burden on society. 35 percent of children are exposed to secondhand smoke on a regular basis, which is harmful especially to young people and is responsible for more than 100,000 lower respiratory tract infections and also is the cause of thousands of hospitalizations each year. In India, 5 percent of males and 2.5 percent of female above the age of 30 years suffer from chronic lung disease caused due to smoking and exposure to biomass fuel. On the whole, respiratory diseases impose a huge economical burden on the society.

Respiratory diseases, such as Asthma and Allergies are caused by combinations of different factors. These factors are linked to the genetic background and the lifestyle of a person as well as the environment they live in. For instance, those who have a genetic predisposition and who are exposed to environmental factors are more likely to develop diseases such as asthma.

Role of Homeopathy

Homeopathy has definite curative remedies for all kind of respiratory diseases. Even very early cases of Bronchial Asthma can be completely cured using Homeopathy.

Respiratory diseases are deep-seated conditions and are best treated with the guidance of an experienced Homeopathic practitioner. Homeopathic medicines treats the whole person, not just the symptoms, so a medicine is chosen based on the overall constitution of the patient.
